"...why doesn't the schoolbook have anything about that?! It just has a lot about condoms and pills and stuff! Nothing about babies! It's completely useless!" He started reading through the posts with grim determination, mumbling to himself occasionally, and googling several words.

She sighed. "Because the books only explain the pregnancy, 'Nato. It's needed for the exam, but knowing about the baby itself isn't needed, after all. Isn't that obvious? Let's just be glad there's all these forums."

"Yeah, I get that, but why don't they want kids to know about taking care of babies? Do they think we're all idiots?" He looked up "cholic" and started to frown. Then "teething" and the frown got deeper. "Sounds like we won't get any sleep for about a year..."

"Because they expect us to not get kids until we're prepared." she sighed. "And you're spot on there. Sleep will be a non-existing concept."

"Oh. Okay..." As he read on, it became more and more painfully clear how much work having a child was going to be.

And she just... Stood back up, drew some heavy breaths - the nausea had returned - and slowly, slowly laid down on the bed. It helped alleviate the nausea a little.

Her boyfriend looked up after a while. "It says some babies sleep alright," he said hopefully. "Hey.. Kushina? Something wrong?" Instantly, he was hovering over her worriedly.

"Just... Just a bit nauseous. Nothing to worry about." a small smile.

"D'ya... need something? Water? Want me to.." He didn't know what to do and just looked at her uncertainly, biting his lip.

"Nah, 's fine... I just... Just need to rest a bit." a weak chuckle.

"Yeah. Okay. You.. probably didn't sleep, did you?"

Biting her lip, she shook her head. "No, I... I couldn't."

"I... kept all of you up? Kakashi and .. that guy, too?" Not that he cared a lot about either of them, but being the cause of someone losing sleep, that was just wrong.

She sighed, nodded. "Iah... Sorry to say it, but... I saw the look you gave Jake. You shouldn't have. He comforted me for hours straight." she said in a low voice. "And, Kakashi, he... Went looking for you the first couple hours, couldn't find you."

"Hm," said Minato. It was pretty much all he could manage at the moment between anger, shame and self-loathing.

She sighed... Then felt she shouldn't have. Like the day before, she was off the bed and in out in the bathroom in a flash, throing up bile.

And just like before, Minato ran after, his own head and stomach spinning a little with vertigo, lack of sleep and way too much coffee. This time, he had the presence of mind to try and hold her hair back while she threw up.

After the last couple dry heaves, she wiped her mouth with the backside of her hand, flushed the toilet, and said, between weak gasps; "Thanks, 'Nato.."

"Anytime," he said stoically, trying not to look completely grossed out.

Slowly, she stood back up, took some deep, calming breaths, and went to brush her teeth once again.

Minato was hanging around the toilet ineffectively. "D'ya want me to get you some.. some toast or something? Water?"

"Nah... 's fine... I'd rather not risk upsetting my stomach again..." she muttered through toothpaste-foam.

"You gotta have water. I'll.. Wait. I'll get you to bed, then I'll get you some," he said determinedly.

A weak nod, and she spat out the toothpaste. She really felt like shit at present time. Starting to, just a little bit, regret that she'd let him persuade her into keeping the baby. If it was going to be like this the rest of the time... Ugh.

Blissfully unaware of her thoughts (but secretly relieved that he didn't have to share in the misery), Minato offered a supportive smile. "Need a hand?"
