"I don't think you can... They have to fix it themselves, don't they?"

Minato sat up and sighed. "Yeah. But I kinda feel like this is all my fault. I did... I did.. sorta... give him hope," it looked like the words physically hurt him.

"... Ah. Iah. Uhm. I guess you kinda did, yeah..."

"But I turned him down!" Minato hastened to say. "Definitely. Repeatedly. There's no hope. None. Whatsoever. Nope. Nope, nope."

"Just having that one round with him is hope in his mind, obviously..."

"THAT WASN'T A "ROUND"!!!" Minato cried out desperately.

"Oral counts in my book." she shrugged.

"I told you! It was a mistake!!!!"

"I know, I'm just saying my opinion." she shrugged. "Still counts as a round. Certainly does in his book, too."

"Well, he can take his book and stuff it up his ass," Minato grumbled sourly. He dragged his laptop closer and started playing Dolphin Olympics in defiance.

She sighed. "Well, either way, I don't want to interfere in their private life unless they seem unhappy."

"I don't either, but somehow their private life keeps interfering with me." The dolphin bonked into the seabed.

She sighed. "I know." a kiss to his cheek.

"And I wish it'd just piss off." Dead dolphin. Ha. Die, Willy.

"And since it doesn't seem to, you've got to get a way of dealing with it."

"Ok. I'll deal with the gay guy wanting my ass by not dealing with him. Which'll work smashingly since he's my fiancee's best friend. Mhm. Cool."

She sighed. "He'll get over it eventually." she muttered, leaning her head on his shoulder. "... Probably."

"Mhm. Probably. Except he didn't sound like he would." Another dolphin incarnation hit the seabed. Minato switched to playing Left 4 Dead.

"Anything else would surprise me since he shifts partners so rapidly..."

"He was with you for years," Minato pointed out acerbically.

"Two years the first time. Only a couple months the last time. Even those couple months are an incredibly long time for him, now... You did see he was only with Sheena for what, two weeks or something, right? That's his standard now."

"Yeah. But that was.. Sheena really isn't... isn't the kinda girl a guy stays with. You are."

"Well... They were too similar, anyhow..." she muttered. Then blushed. "Eheh... Thanks..."

Minato gave a small snort of derisive laughter at her judgement of Kakashi and Sheena. "Yeah... they were kinda.. uhm. Loose."

A weak cough. "I think they used most of the school as their fucking ground."
