"Maybe...But you do it even better." she quickly grabbed onto his other hand, smiling at her parents. Her Dad merely smiled, then looked behind them, where Kakashi had exited his car, leaning against the hood. "Now behave yourselves, right, Kakashi?" it was clear from the man's grin that he knew it was just about impossible. "We'll try our best, like always, Francois." Kakashi grinned. "But new apartment and all. You know I have to inaugurate it in proper style." "I know." Francois ensured him, still smiling.

"Take good care, you two." Kushina's mother smiled and gave them both a hug without further ado. "Have fun, and behave, alright, darling?" she then adressed Kushina, who nodded, smiling, before her father brought her suitcase over to the car, putting it in Kakashi's trunk.

He clutched Kushina's hand in desperate relief. Wait.. what was this inauguration thing. Weird threesomes or something? No.. parents weren't okay with weird threesomes. ...were they?
Minato was pretty surprised to be hugged like that. It felt really nice, though. He smiled awkwardly at both parents. "Thanks," he said to Mrs. Uzumaki, who looked very nice.

A clap on the shouder from the Dad, and both were smiling. "Take care." Francois then repeated. "All of you." "We will," exactlysam tone, at exactly same time, from Kakashi and Kushina. Perhaps they'd known each other a bit too long. Just perhaps. Either way, both grinned, and, since the most space was in the front, Kushina slowly walked over there - the cast was off her leg again, but she'd been told to take it easy the first week, after all - and seated herself in the passenger seat.

"Uhm.. yeah, we will," Minato grinned a little, just because it was better to grin than to run around screaming with all the tension he felt at the awkwardness of this. "Bye," he told the parents, then hurried to help his girlfriend into the car.

"Thanks, 'Nato." she smiled once she was in place, Kakashi getting in his driver's seat once more.

He just smiled at her, relieved to finally see her again. "You alright?" he asked her as he got into the back seat and took her hand through the space between the seat and window.

She nodded, smiled brightly. "Yeah." meanwhile, Kakashi put some music on, now that they were going for the long run, the 3 hour drive - so he put on some HIM, the album 'Love Metal', on shuffle - it starting off with 'The Funeral of Hearts', as they backed out of the driveway, waving to Kushina's parents as he took the fastest road to the highway again.

"No, uhm, throwing up or, stuff?" Yeah, he'd had ample opportunity to read The Book during the holidays. Since he'd finally caught up with his homework, there'd been little else to do.

She shook her head. "Or, well, once. Mostly I've been able to keep it down." a small, slightly weak smile. Kakashi, perhaps wisely, kept quiet and let the couple talk.

A squeeze of her hand; at least now he'd be around to help her if she got sick again. "And.. your parents didn't notice anything?" Well, that was one dumb question. He probably wouldn't be alive now if they had, and he'd certainly not be hugged.

"No, they didn't... Luckily." she sighed. "Oh, well. How did your Christmases go?" she then asked them both.

Minato shrugged. "Alright. Boring." He'd missed her every minute of every hour, which was sort of hard to tell her with Kakashi around.

"Mine was fine. Got the things I wished for." Kakashi merely commented, smiling. "Ooh. New guitar and microphone, then?" Kushina asked, smiling. "Exactly." his smile widened. Kushina grinned, then turned to look at Minato. "Boring? Christmases aren't usually boring..."

"Yeah.. boring's not the real word, maybe. Our family isn't that big so.. quiet, I guess." He was thinking of the Christmasses he'd had as a child where the house was full of people and his Mum had cooked for everyone. Now, it'd been just him, his Dad and his grandparents. They'd mostly watched TV.

"Yeah, okay... They aren't quiet at home, either. Me, mom, dad, uncle, auntie, my cousins... Yeah." she grinned. "I couldn't fight with them like I usually do, though." she huffed, clearly irritated at her leg, once again.

"Sounds like fun," Minato grinned, just a little bit wistfully. "I'm sure you'll make up for all the fighting..." He fell silent, remembering that next Christmas there'd be a baby around.. And that didn't make him as panicked that moment. They'd be a family...

"It does," Kakashi agreed, and Kushina merely chuckled. "Well, it is. And you bet I'll make up for the training sessions lost, 'ttebane!!"

"I bet you will," he said with a grin, and squeezed her hand. As long as he had her, things couldn't be completely horrible.

Almost two and a half hours later. Kakashi'd been listening to them discussing everything between heaven and earth it seemed, only coming with inputs whenever the right moment was there. Now, finally, he saw the turn for Clermont-Ferrand, and took it. "Nearly there," he informed them.

"Right. You been here before?" Minato asked Kushina, just out of curiosity. He was almost starting to chill around Kakashi. Almost.

"Only once. Helped 'Kashi move in, so.... Yeah." she grinned. "It got real nice." "I'd say. You and Rin's flair for design helped quite a bit." Kakashi commented, as they drove towards the more expensive part of town.

"Cool." Minato didn't know anything about design or flats. He had a couple posters on his wall at home and that was pretty much it. "Nice neighbourhood." Yeah, didn't know much about houses either, but any idiot could see that around these parts you wouldn't get far without at least a couple million.

"Kushina, could you get the gate and garage keys out of the glove compartment?" Kakashi then asked, as they got down the right road. "Sure," she did as asked to.

...and a gated place too. Yep, expensive. Maybe he ought to go for a career that'd pay better than the police forces or social services. Like, movie star or something. Rock star... who was he kidding, he couldn't even sing. He'd have to settle for whatever job he could find.

Once they got there, and held in front of the gate, Kushina gave him the keys. He thanked her with a smile, pressed it(it was designed like a normal key to a car lock). The gates opened, and he drove inside, down to the parking spot for '121, 6th floor to the right.'
