"It won't keep my child alive."

He squirmed just a little bit in his seat. There was a certain reason he preferred guys. No talking about whether any of them would want kids and why, nor talk about abortion or anything along the lines of that. "Well... Depends from person to person exactly when thy would say it's a child and not just... Well. a clump of cells so to speak..." he was really bad at this, wasn't he? Perhaps the slightest red tinge of embarrassment. "... 'S why there's a restriction for abortions, of course... It's placed just around when the fetus begins to register sounds, voices and such."

"It became my child the moment she got pregnant," said Minato determinedly. "I just.. don't. Understand. Why anyone would kill something.. That never had the chance of being born." His voice shook a little.

Shuuhei was quiet for the longest while. Then... "Uhm... Maybe if... They believe the kid would... Well. Be better off not living at all. If it'd have very hard conditions to live in."

"I had hard conditions. I'm okay." That was a pretty long stretch of the truth. "I just.." he swallowed. "Just can't understand.. Well, I can but.. Why she wouldn't.. even try.."

"... I guess some just can't handle it. Can't... Wrap their minds around it. I don't even know how I'd react to something like that. Though I think I'd let the girl decide. Since. Uhm. Well. She's going to go through all the pains of it." this was said very quietly.

"Yeah.. I guess..." Minato shifted in his chair, gave a quiet sniff. "I guess.. I just.. thought she wanted it, too."

"... I guess that's another reason they put the abortion 'limit' that late... So that.... Well... People have time to change their minds once they've given it good thought..."

"Mmh." Damn. Don't cry. Don't cry...

"Just... Well. I know it's a long time, but give it some years. I think she might change her mind once you've, well. Built up a life together outside the school."

"Yeah. Too bad for that kid we're going to kill, eh?" It ended in a harsh sob.

Shuuhei sighed, and finally went over to Minato's side. "Don't think like that... The kid isn't even really conscious yet. Medically it can't even really be called a child yet. And... To be honest. I think she'd have aborted later on, either way. Naturally, I mean. Wouldn't you rather have it happen lie this and be prepared for it, rather than just suddenly losing the child?"

"No." Another sob.

"... Why?" he really didn't see why anyone would want to loose the child suddenly rather than knowing and being prepared.

"Because.. like this it's... it's like.. like I'm killing it myself." He wiped angrily at his eyes.

"... Oh." he scratched his neck rather awkwardly. "Well... Still, like I said... She'd probably have aborted, either way. One; first time pregnancies often end with spontaneous aborts.. And second... She's barely got any fat on her body. A growing baby would need that. And I doubt she'd stop training until third trimester, too, by which it'd be too late with the strain on the body."

"Probably not. Still doesn't make it alright, if that's what you think... Don't any of you CARE?!" Minato exploded suddenly. "It's a HUMAN BEING, not just a THING!!"

He winced slightly at the sudden outburst. "... Sorry, but... Uhm... I've never given things like this that much thought..." he scratched his neck a little, again, rather nervously.

"Uhuh. Neither has Kushina, and it seems she can't be bothered to do so. So, too bad, kid, your parents are too fucked up to let you live." He got up and started pacing the room, too frustrated to sit still.

And Shuuhei... Well.He wanted to help, but had no clue what to say. So he merely watched Minato pacing, somewhat apprehensively.

"Too bad! Too fucking bad!" Minato swore under his breath. He kicked a chair, then sat down on it abruptly, buried his face in his hands and broke into tears.

Sighing, he couldn't just keep watching any longer. So, he went over to the weeping boy's side, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Minato shook his head helplessly and cried harder.

Wishing he was better at this... But he wasn't. Not with these matters, at least.

"... I'm sure it'll be fine..." he tried, cautiously.

More shaking of head. More crying.
