... And the sounds from the couch-area told him another makeout session had begun, now that the movie had ended.

...oh. God. Why. Ew. That was purposely just to annoy him. He knew it... And because of... Recent events, and the fact that he was under Kakashi's roof, he could not even allow himself annoyance.

There followed a discreet stirring of oatmeal.

After that, Kakashi gave a weak smile. "You should probably get going. The train's leaving in half an hour, right?" he asked Jake, who nodded. "Yeah. Thank you for... Well, everything."

Lalala. Quietly spooning oatmeal into bowl. Sprinkle with nuts, raisins and cinnamon. Don't mind meeee, just fixing breaaakfast.

"No problem at all." Kakashi smiled as they stood up, and followed Jake over to the door, after he'd picked up his backpack. "Take care, will ya?" "Mm. I will." Jake ensured him, smiling as they gave each other a last hug, before Jake was out the door, and Kakashi closed it after him.

Yay. Alone with Kakashi... focus on eating. Mmm, eating. Was it normal to have random sex with strangers and then say goodbye the next morning? They sure acted as if it was normal. How could you have sex with someone you didn't even know?

- and now Kakashi ventured into the kitchen, heating up some leftover miso soup. Once that was done - seating himself on the opposite side of the table.

Quiet eating. Very quiet.

Same. Until he sighed. "Well. Seems like you did something right." he commented, having noticed how happy Kushina'd looked again when she was downstairs just before.

Minato coughed a little. "Yeah.. I guess."

"She seems happy, anyhow. Just make sure you don't destroy that again, right? She doesn't deserve that."

"No," said Minato neutrally. "She doesn't." It made him angry to be chastised by Kakashi, even though it was perhaps justified. He did his level best to hide it. "_We'll_ work it out."

A small smile, and he nodded. "That's good." then, his phone rang, and of course, he took it.

"Yeah?... Oh, Rin! What? You're coming early? No problem at all. No, no, don't apologize, you know I don't mind. Or, you should, after nine years." he grinned. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll see you in ten minutes. Hi." he smiled and hung up. That smile... There was something akin to adoration there, as well.

Oooh. Well, he guessed that answered the speculation from before. "Soeh. _That_ Rin?" Minato's tone was intended to remind Kakashi what the other'd told him, long ago.

Perhaps just the slightest reddening of cheeks. "..... Yeah. My adoptive sister."

"Mhmm.. Soah. Gonna tell her any time soon?" He figured he owed Kakashi a bit of embarassment. A lot.

The blush intensified a little. "... Not yet."

"...right." He couldn't figure Kakashi out. Not for the life of him. How could he be fucking another guy without a care in the world and still be blushing about a girl. "Heh." A small snort of laughter, before he could stifle it.

"Stop laughing, will ya? I know it's goddamn silly that I can go to the left and right with strangers, but not tell one of those closest to me that I like her, okay?" he sighed and left the table to put the bowl in the dishwasher.

"Well... just a little... How long have you liked her for?" Minato relented and tried to be a good guy.

"... About a year." he sighed. "'M just.... You know. Kinda.... Afraid. Just like you were. That she, well, that she doesn't see me like that and... Yeah."

Aw. Okay. He could sympathize with that. "Haven't you known her, like, forever? Can't you tell if she likes you?" (He hadn't been able to, at all. But it might be easier with someone you'd grown up with. Or maybe girls were just always unfathomable.)

He shook his head. "Not with this sort of thing." he sighed. "I can tell her feelings regarding everything else, but not this."

"Uhm. Ok. Well, she IS a girl. They're.. kinda hard to figure out. You could. Uhm. Write her a song or something?"

"I'm working on that. It's... Well, it's coming along, at least."
